1 Setup Your Canvas

Look to the right panel – that's your live drawing app. Make sure the Pen is selected. Set your brush size to 5 or 8 (click the gear icon on the right toolbar). Pick a dark color like #2D3436 or #1A1A1A.

Optional: Turn on the Grid (Settings → Show Grid) – it can help you keep things symmetrical!

2 Draw the Head & Body

A simple dog is made from just a few basic shapes – just like the cat! Let's start with the head and body.

Draw a circle for the head (in the top half of the canvas).
Draw a larger oval below it for the body.
The body should overlap the head slightly.
Pro tip: Dogs usually have longer snouts than cats – you can make the head slightly oval to show this!

3 Add Ears, Eyes & Nose

Hit Clear on the right toolbar. Draw the head and body again, then add the face features.

Ears: Add two floppy shapes hanging down from the sides of the head – or pointy ears if you want a husky!
Eyes: Draw two small circles in the center of the face.
Nose: Draw a small oval at the bottom of the head.
Mouth: Add a curved line from the nose downwards.

Try this: Add a tongue sticking out from the mouth – it makes the dog look extra happy!

👀 Pro Tip: The eyes should be about one eye-width apart – same as the cat. This is the universal rule for drawing cute faces!

4 Add Legs, Tail & Details

Now let's finish your dog with the remaining details.

Legs: Add four short lines at the bottom of the body for legs.
Paws: Add small ovals at the ends of the legs.
Tail: Draw a curved line coming from the back – make it waggy and happy!
Collar: Add a curved line around the neck with a small circle for a tag.

Try this: Make the tail wagging or the dog sitting – it adds so much personality!

Your mission: Draw three different dogs – each one a different breed.

Dog 1: A fluffy dog (like a golden retriever – big and fluffy!)
Dog 2: A small dog (like a dachshund – long body, short legs)
Dog 3: A pointy-eared dog (like a husky – pointy ears, curly tail)
Bonus: Draw a dog playing fetch with a ball!
